Exchange 2010 hybrid to Exchange 2016 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi again guys,

So we have deployed Exchange Server 2016 into our Exchange 2010 environment that are configured for hybrid with Office 365.

Have been poking around with Exchange Deployment Assistant for the last few weeks but the next steps for me are a bit blurry.

We in the process of configuring the DAG, databases and virtual directories but Im a bit worried for the next part which involves redirecting DNS recors (or just our reverseproxy/loadbalancer) like and as well as when one should run the Hybrid Configuration Wizard on the new platform?

I would like some basic step-by-step correct order...

    1) Configure the reverseproxy/loadbalancer/firewalls to allow incoming 25/443 to the new Exchange Environment from Office 365

    2) Configure the reverseproxy/loadbalancer/firewalls to allow outgoing 25/443 to Office 365 from the new Exchange Environment

    3) Export the 3:rd party certificate from the old environment to the new environment?

    4) redirect both internal and external records so they end up at the new servers?

    5) run the HCW and new connectors will be created and the mailflow will now run via Exchange 2016?

    Please advice!
