Error Code: 80070005 during SCOM 2012 R2 Agent Push RRS feed

  • Question

  • While working with SCOM 2012 R2 Agent push from SCOM Console, I am getting below error.

The Operations Manager Server failed to perform specified operation on computer abc.pqr.com. Operation: Agent Install Install account: Domain\Account Error Code: 80070005 Error Description: Access is denied.

We have all pre-requisites in compliance apart from \\Server\C$ share. The account used to push the agent is having local admin rights on the server. As per Troubleshooting Guide https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff358634.aspx I should get Error Code: 80070006 however that's not the case.

    Any idea ?

  • Hi,

Access Denied doesn't always necessarily mean a permission issue. There could be lots of other causes (ports, WMI, issues with the accounts, etc.). I have selected a couple of articles, which are gving overview of the most common causes and how to troubleshoot them.

Error Code: 80070005 Error Description: Access is denied. Is this really the cause?
