SQL 2014 cluster monitoring constantly changes state from not monitored to monitored RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have an issue with monitoring of SQL 2014 cluster in a way that every SQL monitor changes it's state every few minutes from not monitored to monitored state. We have over 1 milion state changes per day generated by the SQL 2014 management pack. Non clustered SQL 2014 servers are monitored as expected and the issue is only with clustered servers.

SQL 2014 management pack version 6.6.4.0 is installed.

Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

Confirm if this is what is happening on your agent --> https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/kevinholman/2009/12/21/the-new-and-improved-guide-on-healthservice-restarts-aka-agents-bouncing-their-own-healthservice/

Look for event 6024 in opsmgr event log in the agent.

    Cheers.
