  • It was clear to me as well but crikey, that's going back many a year.

Microsoft have archived the original product documentation, but some of it is still available.  I believe, at first glance, that this is the most appropriate entry for you http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc768008.aspx.  This link may also be of interest, when assessing migration potential: - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc768017.aspx

I don't recall there being an STSADM equivalent for STS (although our time together was very brief).

The only "sts" is the product called SharePoint Team Services from late 2001. This was prior to WSS 2.0 and must be what is being asked about here.

  • No problem.

Your message was clear to me but a lot of people here haven't used anything earlier than WSS 3.0 or MOSS 2007 and even those who have used WSS 2.0 might think on a quick read that it is about that (as sts was used in the path there).

But even though I have used SharePoint Team Services, the last time I did so was at least five years ago so everything about administration for it has gone. Sorry.

My thought too although I do remember that it did have CAML which might I suppose offer something. I however dumped my final STS (MS) manual fairly soon after the last STS installation bit the dust.
