Old Power Query installation file required for Power Query Update RRS feed

  • Question

  • While trying to update to PQ V2.26.4128.242 (64bit/dutch) the installer request the PowerQuery_2.14.3722.242 (64-bit) [nl-NL].msi file to be inserted.

I can not find the PowerQuery_2.14.3722.242 (64-bit) [nl-NL].msi file. Can somebody please post a link so I can obtain this file and install the latest PowerQuery.

Is there a way that I can forcefully remove the older 2.14 Power Query?

  • Jeff,

Thanks for the link - I got it to work but had to sift through the registry to find the PowerQuery product code as it was not listed in the "programs to uninstall" list.

    For people with similar problems:
    -Run the "Fix It" program

-Select "Detect problems and apply the fixes for me (Recommended)"

    -Select "Uninstalling"

    -Select "Not listed"

-Enter the following product code "{968A34D9-C5E5-48FC-87E8-C9C64116AC6A}"

That should uninstall previous power query entries.

  • Did you try to uninstall it directly?  Does it give you the same error?

If that doesn't work, you can try "Fix It" to remove the installation entries. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/mats/program_install_and_uninstall?wa=wsignin1.0

Let me know how it goes.
