Dedupe error shown in Server Manager RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have just moved my Data Protection Manager 2012 r2 server from 2008 r2 to Windows 2012 r2. When I am in Server Manager I see a duplication error.

Error occurred during enumeration of Data Deduplications volumes. MSFT_DedupVolume - HResult 0x8056530c.

Is this anything to worry about?

    Best wishes

  • Hi

You can install this Windows hotfix and see if that helps.

Error message when you start a data deduplication optimization job for a large data volume in Windows Server 2012

  • Hi Mike,

I am running 2012 r2 and I am talking about the Data Protection Manager server, not the client.

  • Hi,

have you enabled dedup on the DPM storage pool volumes?

If yes, that is not supported!
