  • what is Single, Two-tier, Three tier architecture of Microsoft Project Server 2010?

    The tiers are front-end (website), application (PSI webservice, queue and event service) and databases.

    When you scale a Project Server 2010 environment, the first step will be to separate the database tier. Next step would be to use to Project Server servers and separate frontend and application - or use both of them load balanced in parallel to get higher availability.
