Applying Mail flow rules to FIM users

    Question

  • Hi,

Currently, i have a mail flow rule that blocks AD group A from emailing AD group B.

it works properly with a custom message sent to group A stating the email failed to deliver when group A tries to email group B.

i added users to group A by setting up a group in AD and added these AD users to group A.

However, for users synced from FIM, i am unable to create a group for these FIM users to join, and hence unable to use the mail flow rules.

is there any suggestion on how to solve this?

  • Why are you unable to create a group?

  • Sorry for the late reply.

Basically, my AD has a group of users that is sync-ed from another AD via FIM.

I am unable to add them to the group.

  • What happens when you try?  What is the object type of the synchronized objects in the target forest?
