  • Kavita,

Project stores all time related data in tenths of a minute so the 50400 you see, given a default 8 hour day, will be

    50400/4800=10.5 days

    Hope this helps.

  • I am trying to import MPP into my tool. I wanted to store the Predecessor days i,e if 1FS+5 days.

So 5 I wanted to store in my database. While importing I am converting MPP file to xml.In xml for 1 project its giving
    <LinkLag>50400</LinkLag> for 7 days

In another project its giving <LinkLag>9600</LinkLag> for 2 days.

Which one is correct. Please help me out this

  • Kavita,

Without more detail, I'd say they are both correct because the first project uses 12h days and the second project uses 8h days. How did I arrive at those values?

    In the first project, 5040.0 minutes/7 days = 720.0 minutes/day. Then 720/60 = 12 hours

    Likewise 960.0 minutes/2 days = 480.0 minutes/day. Then 480/60 = 8 hours

In Project the definition of a day is determined by the options setting for hours per day (File/options/schedule group)

    Hope this helps.
