Exchange Server 2003 - Multipl SMTP Accounts

Question
-
I have a problem - In a server that I support, users have multiple SMTP accounts e.g. User bob will have bob@company1.com and bob@company2.ca. The company1.com is the default SMTP. When someone sends an email to bob@company2.ca Exchange automatically converts it to company1.com. When bob replies obviously the message comes from company1.com.
The question - Is there any way to force exchange server to KEEP the smtp information from the comapny that it was addressed to i.e. if an email goes to bob@company2.ca it will remain as company2.ca?
Thanks for any help in reducing any futher hair loss.Tuesday, May 5, 2009 6:50 PM

It is not possible natively in Exchange but you can find workarounds and some third-party solution discussed in blow thread....

Hi,
You can also configure POP3 account which allows to send the email from the different email address.
Thanks

Yes, as Allen told POP3 access is also a workaround to have multiple profile in Outlook...
