how to fix windows 7 power settings RRS feed

  • Question

  • I installed Skype on my computer.  After I installed it I noticed my computer would not go to sleep automatically. I checked the setting and it was set to go to sleep in an hour. I have it set at the high performance mode and I customized the sleep on this mode. I changed the power modes but nothing worked. If you have any suggestions on this it would be most appreciated.

  • Please run powercfg -Energy, this generate a Report about power settings. Does it show why the sleep is blocked? Can you go the sleep if you remove Skype again? If yes, it is an issue with Skype. In this case contact their support.
