Checkbox don't show normally on Windows 2016 Tech Preview 5 server core. (windows 2016 desktop UI has't the problem) RRS feed

    I change the checkbox text size using API "SetWindowTheme(m_hWnd, L"checkbox", L"checkbox");", and then handle WM_CTLCOLOR message and change color using SetTextColor.

    After change the size and text color of check box,  checkbox don't show normally on Windows 2016 Tech Preview 5 server core. (windows 2016 desktop UI has't the problem).

    It seems that this is a bug of windows 2016 server core (without desktop UI).  would you please check it?

    Hi,

    Try to run your application on the Windows Server 2012/2012 R2 core edition and confirm to see if the same problem will happen.

    If the same problem also happens on previous OS version, it seems that this is not supported on core edition. As it is related to OS coding/internal structure, someone who belongs to the product developer team might provide more official/professional explanation to you.  

    If this problem only happened on WS 2016 TP5, I would recommend you to post on Microsoft MSDN Forum(coding professional) to further identify this problem, whether it is OS related, or coding related:

    The previous server core(Windows 2008, 2012) don't have the problem, and it seems that the previous Windows 2016 Tech Preview 2 server core doesn't have the problem. 

    One word,  it only occur on Windows 2016 Tech Preview 5 server core.
