Can Word 2010 still default to open in browser? RRS feed

    Word 2003 frequently defaulted to opening Word and Excel docs in IE. Can Word 2010 be set up to default to in browser viewing for IE9? This is for an application which embeds IE browser windows so the actual browser might be ie 8 or 7.

     

    Google has not helped me here but perhaps I just need to be shown to the relevant documentation.

    Could you check, if the following article works for you?

    A new application window opens when you try to view an Office 2010 document in Internet Explorer 7 or in Internet Explorer 8

    Make a backup of the mentioned registry keys before you change them.
