started getting 'sys' undefined errors in IE browser with FIM portal but only on one machine RRS feed

  • Question

  • the main computer that I use to work on the FIM portal randomly started getting 'sys' undefined errors and the portal is 100% unusable now on this machine.  As far as I know nothing changed I was using it one minute then reloaded the FIM portal and it started happening.  here is what the portal looks like when you to to navigate to pages in the portal:

I am at a total loss as to what is causing it.  The portal works just fine from other machines and I dont appear to see the issues with other webpages on this machine.

Anyone ever seen this issue? not sure if I need to contact microsoft support.

  • Did this get resolved? I have exactly the same issue...

When I log in with the install account I get a few missing images, but generally everything else is OK

But when logged in as another user (Administrator or End User) the result is horrendous

I have played with SharePoint permissions, AAMs and even run the SharePoint Wizard to repair the install, but it's making no difference. It feels like a permissions-type issue. Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Dave

  • I am seeing this in MIM 2016 SP1. After rebuilding our solution, the portal rendered fine for a couple of days and then it just broken for my admin account and the display is all broken as per your screenshots. Would be great to understand why this is now happening.

Renders fine for my normal account on my workstation... in IE11 only. In Edge and Google Chrome it's as broken as the admin account on the MIM Server.

  • Hi Dane,

I believe I have fixed our issue. Did you configure a HTTP redirect to /IdentityManagement/ if people hit the root of the website? That causes this breakage... I reversed the change and all is well again.

    Hope this helps anyone else.
