Routing IP adresses on Windows 7 & later RRS feed

  • Question

  • I need to set up a route for a specific IP address on a PC which has two non-bridged Ethernet ports. The main network address is typically 10.180.202.abc, and the Unit Under Test port uses a similar address, ending .10, with subnet mask for all being 255.255.255.0.

The UUT has three IP addresses, .11, .12 and .13, and I use a custom program which behaves like traceroute, sending UDP data from the local PC to port .11. The problem is that the PC initially tries to route it via the main network, so can I set up a route to force the PC to use the UUT port?

I've had no success using "route add" command, receiving the error message "The route addition failed: The parameter is incorrect". Suggestions welcomed, thanks.
