Failed to install MP on my new primary standalone SCCM 2012 SP1 RRS feed

  • Dears,

    I have a problem in installing SCCM 2012 SP1, after installation there is a problem i the management point.

    this is the error received from monitoring 

    Site Component Manager failed to install this component, because the Microsoft Installer File for this component (MP.msi) could not install.

    Refer to the MPSetup.log, the MPMSI.log, as well as the ConfigMgr Documentation and the Microsoft Knowledge Base for further information.Site Component Manager failed to install this component, because the Microsoft Installer File for this component (MP.msi) could not install.

    and when opening MPMSI.log and navigate to return error 3 the above logs is

    do you have idea about that

  • Yes I have, but I have uninstalled it, and then I've run this power shell command

    PS C:\Windows\system32> Invoke-Command  {gwmi -query "SELECT * FROM __Namespace WHERE Name='CCM'" -Namespace "root" | Re
    move-WmiObject}

    and the MP was installed but still i got some different errors related to SQL and i applied this article

    I Think the actual error is earlier in the log file, can you please post a Little more of it?

  • Hi,

    Thanks for your replies I solved all my error after running this powershell and changing the owner of SCCM database from SCCMadmin to sa.
