IMAP rules not visable on Laptop yet they continue to run. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a IMAP account set up on multiple systems, with rules set on one system to does a automatic reply. Additional rules are set on a older PC which unfortunately broke that forwards emails two other email addresses. The issue is these rules have disappeared from all systems and they seemingly cannot be recovered. I desperately need all of these rules to be removed as one of them is a holiday reply.

Please can someone help on this.

    Thankyou

  • Hi Aaron,

We have a command switch to starts Outlook and deletes all rules. To do this, please exit Outlook, press Win key + R to open the Run command, type outlook.exe /cleanrules and then press Enter.

Besides, we could also use MFCMAPI to delete corrupted, hidden inbox rules from a mailbox. You can refer to the following link.

    https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/hkong/2015/02/27/how-to-delete-corrupted-hidden-inbox-rules-from-a-mailbox-using-mfcmapi/

Hope this is helpful to you.
