Move-CSUser RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I am experiencing moving users between O365 on-prem SfB.

    Receiving an error related to  “Microsoft Sign-in Assistant”, tried all versions of “Microsoft Sign-in Assistant” nothing works.

    It was working fine, not sure why it broke suddenly, may be windows update.

    Receiving following error;

    “Move-CsUser : A Sign-in Assistant API call failed, method name = EnumIdentitiesWithCachedCredentials.  Make sure Live Id Sign-in assistant

    is running.”

    Appreciate your input.

  • Hi Malinda Perera,

    I have seen the phenomenon that when moving users from SFB online to on premise, it caused by the certificate. If the issue is during moving users back to SFB on premise, please check if your certificate is in the correct container.

    The following describes moving Users Back to On-premises, it’s similar to SFB, please refer to
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj204967(v=ocs.15).aspx

    Make sure the user has RTCUniversalUserAdmin permission.
