DHCP on computer running Steady State RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have 3 computers connected to one router running DHCP. I setup Steady State on the network with retain all changes permanently, when I did this one of the other computers was at the time turned off. When that person logged on to the pc that was off, is was designated an IP. The computer with steady state was restarted about the same time, and pulled the same IP address. When I set up the steady state machine it had that particular IP. When I went there today because of internet issues, I found that Remove all Changes was turned on for Disk Protection. What Could I be doing Wrong? And there was an IP conflict!

  • Hi Vercellotti, have you turned off the computer improperly before the issue occurs? If this is the case, WDP option may be changed. Meanwhile, I consider there is nothing to do with WDP on the IP conflict issue.
