Query the SharePoint Database

  Querying the database in this manner is not supported; Microsoft has not made the database schema public and the schema can be different depending on the specific SharePoint build so any answer describing how to do this using a SQL Query may not provide the results you wish.

  The supported method is to write an application that uses the SPDocumentLibrary class's GetItems() method.

  This blog post by Sameer Dhoot shows some example code and then goes on to show you how to accomplish it using a SQL query.

  Hi mh53j_fe,

  As Jason said, it’s not recommended to query the Content database directly.
  Also, beside Jason’s solution, you can create report using SQL Reporting Service. Then the SharePoint Web service can be called in the Reporting Service.
