Force to popup Resolve Incident Window when resolve an incident RRS feed

  • Hi, I am wondering if anyone went through this situation: in SCSM 2012, if you resolve incident, if you click task Resolve, it pops up window Resolve Incident, you have to put in category and comment; but if you use Change Status, it allows u to bypass the Resolve Incident Window, and the comment and category will be blank.

    Is there a way to enforce the Resolve window???

    because we want to email client with resolution, if the analyst doesn't enter the resolution, it will send an blank email out.

    Much appreciate any suggestions!

  • I think without developing a custom task this is not possible.
