Memory missing RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I'm running Vista Ultimate, RTM.

After the initial installation, Vista only reports 3 GB of memory (I have 4 GB total, also reported by BIOS). Shouldn't Vista (32 Bit) be able to address 4 GB?

In addition, due to a problem with NVidia 7950GX2 card I had to use two PCIEx cards (discussed here: http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=711249&SiteID=17). However, with the two PCIEx video cards installed, Vista now reports only 2 GB of physical memory. If I remove the GX2 card, I'm back at 3 GB. I've even disabled the second card, so no resources should be consumed.

    Any thoughts?
