Disable GWX.exe using GPO over a domain RRS feed

  • Question

  • So, over the ppast few days I have seen an influx of GWX update icons pop up on PC in our company.  I know for a fact that you can use a GPO to disable it.  The problem I have is, we are using Server 2012 to bubild the policy and we cannot find the following: Turn off the upgrade to the latest version of Windows through Windows Update.  This is the task needed to disable it on the pcs but it is not there.  Does anyone have any idea where we can locate this or do you have a way you have done it in your enterprise?

  • Hi bsh1083,

Based on your description, I noticed that it is a domain environment, it seems that  we may use script to see if it helps.
