MOSS 2007: site replication RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, in my company we have a MOSS 2007 environment in intranet, with multiple size and custom configuration. All components are on a single server.

I was asked to create a copy of *part* of this environment (one site, some lists) and place it in dmz, in order to let it accessible from external networks (internet). This copy should be syncronized with the intranet one every hour. At the moment the db is 12GB, I think it will increase about 1GB per month.

    How can I setup this?

  • Hi, I read slides at your link. I have two question:

    1) "paths can only be setup between servers in the same network".

What does it mean? Our source and destination will be phisically connected to the same network, but they will be part of different domains (maybe one in domain and one in workgroup).

    2) "it's not a replication or syncronization: the steps are export source, transport to destination, import"

Adding that job can be scheduled, what is the difference between CD and a replication? Only that CD isn't really in real time?
