Merging User Accounts RRS feed

  • I am new to PWA and the company I am working for is currently using PWA 2003 I believe. The person who I replaced has tasks update going to his/her account for approval but since the individual is not here no one is being able to update the schedule in PWA. I have tried mering my account with that person but I receive the following message "Project server cannot merge an enterprise resource account into another account". Can someone please help me get over this and will I be able to accept the updated task when our accounts merge?

  • You should ask the Project Server administrator to make you the owner of the project.  Then, you can open the project using Micosoft Project Professional.  Then you can Save the project and then Publish the project.  In the 2003 version, that should make you the "owner" of all the asignmnts, and all of the updates should come to you in PWA.
