Appv 5.0 on Windows 2008 R2: package working, but not anymore when deployed RRS feed

    Hi,

    Please advise on howto troublehsooting a package that works fine when locally installed on a windows 2008 server but not anymore when sequenced and deployed to another terminal server.

    • Are there any error codes displayed or in the eventlog?
    • Is the sequencer machine identical as the client where the package is started? 
    • Is KB2984972 installed on the client?
    • What version of App-V do you use?
    • Did you install the the application in the PVAD or in the VFS?

    I'm pretty sure it is related to system variables. I set thim in the app-v package but when the pacakge is loaded I cannot see them, should I?

    If I cannot set the system variables in the package, can I set them on the server and will the package see them correctly (they point f.e. to c:\program files (x86) but is that correctly redirected in the package or will it go to the physical system?

    Sequencer is very close to physical machine (java version is different and maybe some small details)

    What is this KB2984972?

    Appv 5.0 SP2 hotfix 5

    PVA, VFS?

    Yes, you can set them natively and they will be seen by the virtual application
