PXE DP & Normal DP RRS feed

  • I am wondering when to use PXE DP & Normal DP for the following:-
    -Boot Images
    -OS Images
    -Driver Packages

  • no they don't,

    you only use the boot images on the PXE dp even if you are deploying OS via PXE, the os will go to your 'normal' distribution points and the boot images will go the your normal DP's plus the PXE DP

    Only boot images go to PXE DP (one x86 and one x64), everything else goes to your normal DP's

    Moderator Comment: I marked Nial's post as the response, as it was more complete in mentionning that boot images can/should go to regular dp's as well.

  • Thanks for the reply. Then how about the OS Images? If I am deploying the OS using PXE boot, then the OS Images don't need to be installed in PXE DP?
