Exchange 2007 Cleanup of System Attendant Mailbox RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm not sure why this is happening but the system attendant mailbox is filling up with items. I want to enter the mailbox in order to investigate and/or clean out the items as it is causing errors in the event logs tied to being full. specific of the error are:

    Event ID: 1022

Logon Failure on database "SG-1\dBASE-1" - Windows account DOMAIN\SERVERNAME$; mailbox /o=DOMAIN/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Configuration/cn=Servers/cn=SERVERNAME/cn=Microsoft System Attendant.

Error: 1245 Client Machine: HUBTRANSPORTSERVER Client Process: edgetransport.exe Client ProcessId: 0 Client ApplicationId: Client=Hub Transport

I have already increased the mailbox size using ADSIedit but I still want to get in and take a look. Anybody know how to do this in exchange 2007?

  • Hi,

This problem may happen if there is a exchange server which only has Public folder database mounted. Please try to create mailbox database for each public folder server and see if the issue persists.
