Auto Populate only available number into column.

Hi All,

when user add item into sharepoint list, want to auto populate available number into column. so my goal is when user add item, before populating the number it will check whether that number alread exist or not in List. if exist that number will not populate. Basically to avoid duplication value into list. so which approach i should take to achieve this?

Hello,

There are multiple resolution for this, you can either create a InfoPath form and set condition to prevent duplication

Hi,

I would suggest go with MMS. Create Terms and Terms set with number, when user tries to add the number will get populate.
