ADMT ends with an error "ERR2:7422 Failed to move source object. Access is denied" RRS feed

    Hi,

    I have received below mentioned error during migtating user account from source.com to target.com

    Both are in single forest.

    [Object Migration Section]
    2011-12-07 16:51:51 Starting Account Replicator.
    2011-12-07 16:52:08 Removing CN=test01 (LDAP://src.source.com/CN=test01,OU=pune,DC=source,DC=com) from the global groups it is a member of :
    2011-12-07 16:52:09 ERR2:7422 Failed to move source object 'CN=test01'. hr=0x80070005  Access is denied.
    2011-12-07 16:52:09 Updated user rights for CN=test01

    Did you add migration account is in built in admin.

    DO I have to add the user (who are going to migrate) to the build in Admin group.

    Please suggest.

  • You are getting an “Access is denied” error message so it should be related to ADMT service account permission issue.  Configure the permission according to this blog - http://portal.sivarajan.com/2010/04/admt-service-account-permission-and.html

    Also, please provide more information about migration procedure.  Which version of ADMT are you using? It sounds like an intra-forest migration…
