Windows 7 - Manual Search Shortcuts? RRS feed

  • Question

  • In Windows Search on my old computer, I was able to input manual shortcuts in the search bar using the @ command.
For example, if I wanted to create a shortcut to access Internet Explorer, I could just type @ie,"file path for iexplorer" and then I could just type ie in whenever I wanted to open internet explorer.
Is there any way to do this in Windows 7? I've tried that method but it hasn't worked.

Thanks in advance, your help is much appreciated!
