having problems installing windows update

  Please run:

  • sfc /scannow
  • chkdsk /r /f
  • Install the System Update Readiness tool for Windows Vista: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821
  • Reset Windows Update components

  If this does not help, perform a repair install of your OS.
