We have in place and working access control using viking call boxes and FXO ports (Audicodes MP114 or FXO cards, etc).
However, i am wondering is it possible to accomplish this but replace the viking (industrial/old looking call box) with a Skype phone polycom CX500 or (dreaming big) maybe even a wall mounted tablet that you could have a web app launch a SFB video call to
the receptionist.
Here is the challenge how do you grab the key tones to unlock the door, in what at that point is a simple skype to skype call.
With the viking analog touch tone controller they can intercept that code and unlock the door.
How can we mirror this functionality with a Skype/Lync phone and have the ability to unlock the door.
