HTTP to HTTPs redirection is failing RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello there,
We are implementing UAG 2010 and publishing intranet applications via UAG. We have installed SP1 and update1 and rollup update 1. The UAG version = 4.0.1773.10110. Https trunk has been created and http to https redirection connection is created. We have a similar setup in our dev instance and everything is working properly. In case of Production, however, the http to https redirection is failing. When I hit the trunk's public hostname from internet it fails to switch to https. It would be great if you somebody could share their experience with a resolution if they have encountered a similar type of an issue.

    Thanks in advance,

    V

  • Hi,

As you have not mentioned any errors being reported by the UAG Management Console or the Activation Monitor, can you ensure that you have the correct IP Address specified against the HTTP redirect trunk.

If this is not the issue, I have seen redirect problems which have been resolved by removing the HTTP redirect trunk, activating the UAG Configuration.  Once Activation Monitor shows that everything is completed (a green tick) then re-add the HTTP redirect trunk ensuring the correct IP is specified and then activating again and ensuring the Activation Monitor shows a green tick before testing on a client machine.

    Regards,

    Sean.
