  • Question

  • Hello,

Is it possible to transfer the resources day-off entered in MS Outlook 2010 toward the resource calendars in Project Server 2010?

    How?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

this feature is only available with Project Server 2013 and Exchange Server 2013. As an alternative you can use our product Allocatus, which enables Outlook users to mark appointments in Outlook as absence time. This time will be booked on absence tasks in Project Server, so the project manager can see conflicts with regular project tasks and decide what to do. For more info see http://www.allocatus.com.

  • Question about Allocatus:

Do the appointments in Outlook arrive as pseudo-tasks in Project Server 2010 or do they arrive in the resources calendars?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

appointments will be booked on existing tasks and will not change the resource calendars. So you can see all absence tasks in one project plan, so that you can see affected tasks and decide what to do in case of over allocation.
