Workflow does not send e-mail notification RRS feed

  • I created a workflow to send e-mail for the affected user when he create an incident and still when the status of this same incident is changed. However the workflow is not running and not the email is being sent. I did not find any scenario like problems, where I'm using just the request of incidents and the Exchanger Server as SMTP server to send these emails to users.

    I'm using the SCSM 2010 with SP1 and CU2, on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise.

    Hmmm, is it possible that the affected users do NOT have an SMTP address specified in the CMDB? Check that unter Configuration Items\Users. Or is it possible that affected Users have external Mail addresses that are not managed in your organization? Then Mail relaying could be a problem.

    Also check the workflow unter Administration\Workflows\Status. Maybe you can get more details there ...

  • Check the workflow status for any errors as Marcel said.  If there are not errors, then check your Exchange server logs to see if it is getting any mail from SM.

  • Double check your email template.  i had a situation a few months back where there was an issue with the email template that was causing the workflow to fail.

  • I already checked, and actually has some users who are not in the CMDB with your email. Until ai everything well, and really is not for work. But does not send even in users who have e-mail.
