    quick question...

    I would like to install replica WSUS servers on slow link sites

    My Central WSUS is DOWNSTREAM server already.

    The goal is to approve updates from my Central server.

    Question:

    Can I have replica servers of Downstream server?

    Of course.

    All WSUS servers are the downstream servers of Microsoft Update.
