Client receiving error messages RRS feed

  • I have noticed this issue after I have deployed Anniversary Update using WSUS. Clients are now receiving the below error message after 'check for updates' is selected.

    'There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x8024500c)'

    Message in 'ReportingEvents' file : 

    {EAAFFF02-8A18-445D-97EF-3421C163995C} 2017-01-24 13:03:04:550-0000 1 148 [AGENT_DETECTION_FAILED] 101 {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000} 0 8024500c UpdateOrchestrator Failure Software Synchronization Windows Update Client failed to detect with error 0x8024500c.

  • Hi Firaz786,

    1. Please run windows update troubleshooter on the windows 10 clients;

    2. Also try reset windows update components:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/971058

    Then check for update again on the clients, check what is the result after then.
