Connection to an outlook client functionality....allowing to connect to a specific view RRS feed

    When I use the "Connect to an Outlook client" within a list, Outlook shows everything within the specific list...is it possible to just pull in and sync a specific view and not everything that resides in a list?

    Hi BBBKing,

     

    It seems that the SharePoint gives the list-url value not including the view page path in Stssync protocol when you click on “Connect to Outlook”, so you can’t specify a particular view to display in Outlook.

     

    Or you can code to sync with particular view per this post, it should need much work.

     

    As a workaround, you can set the permission on list item level, when the user have no permission on items, they will not be download to Outlook locally.
