No sound in left speaker RRS feed

  • Question

  • So i have installed Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, i have Asus P5QL Motherboard and sound card is onboard so i have installed Via Audio driver and sound worked then normally. Then i have upgraded my windows from service pack 1 to service pack 2 and then when i have restarted my computer to finish installation on the left speaker i heared short noise like "click" and when it started up fully i can hear sound only on right speaker.

    - I have tried other speakers
    - I have tried back panel jack
    - I tried speakers on other computer and they work normally

So it must be something with the Service Pack update... Do anyone knows what i should do???

  • Did you check the Balance setting to be sure it is not all the way to the right?

  • Hi,

Some sound cards offer a utility that sits between SNDVOL32 (Mixer) and the sound card. Often these utilities can be found in Control Panel or in Start > Programs > Aesus

If you are using Windows Media Player try the following

View > Enhancements > Show Enhancements

Check the sounds settings in there like Equalizer and SRS effects etc..
