Installing image from ..setup.exe.. times out after 54 minutes RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm quite new to MDT and have inherited a setup that's been working fine so far. Now we wanted to deploy Lenovo X1 Carbon laptops so I injected the usb->ethernet driver in the boot image and added them to the inject driver steps in the task sequence, updated the wim and reloaded the WDS server. Works fine until the step where the OS is to be installed.

This is what the LTIApply and BDD logs show:

    Installing image from \\server\DeploymentShare$\Operating Systems\DEPLOY-WIN7-X64\DEP-WIN7-X64.wim using command: "\\server\DeploymentShare$\Operating Systems\Windows 7 x64\Sources\setup.exe" /noreboot /unattend:C:\MININT\unattend.xml /m:"\\server\DeploymentShare$\$OEM$" LTIApply 2013-05-31 14:02:50 0 (0x0000)

... there's a few heartbeat loggings like the one below

ZTI Heartbeat: command has been running for 54 minutes (process ID 1884) LTIApply 2013-05-31 14:56:00 0 (0x0000)
    Return code from command = -1073740771 LTIApply 2013-05-31 14:58:01 0 (0x0000)

    Setup failed applying image \\server\DeploymentShare$\Operating Systems\DEPLOY-WIN7-X64\DEP-WIN7-X64.wim, rc = -1073740771 LTIApply 2013-05-31 14:58:01 0 (0x0000)

So, why is the installation timing out. Any way to find out? I have all the logs saved.
