888 numbers fail to connect RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I try dialing these numbers from within Lync I will get a message saying "this number is not in service".

Dialing from a regular land line and or cell phone works fine.

I've had reports of 866 numbers not working as well but I haven't been able to verify this as of yet.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

  • Hi,

Would you please elaborate your Lync environment (Voice Routing)?

From your description above, it may be the issue of normalization rule or the issue of route/voice policy/trunking configuration.

So please double check the Voice Routing setting using Lync Server Control Panel, and test each setting using the test module, make sure each setting works without issue.
