Bookmarks in Windows 10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • After upgrading to Windows 10 I cannot find the bookmarks. The folders in C:\windows.old\Users\username\Favorites are empty.

Where are the bookmarks? They used to be under the "star" in the upper right corner of the screen. They are gone now.

  • Hi EttaVie,

In most cases you’ll be able to keep your Windows settings, personal files, and most apps when you upgrade to Windows 10. During the upgrade, we’ll let you know if anything might be removed. If the Favorites file is empty, maybe the data has lost. If you used the Microsoft account, we can sync from onedrive. Otherwise we could look for Data Recovery Center.

About the favorite option not appear under IE favorite, please check the link below about how to import Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer bookmarks into Microsoft Edge web browser.
