Stop account from migrating to the cloud RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been tasked with preventing a list of email account from migrating while we move to O365.  How would I go about doing this? This is the first time that Google has failed me and I have to get this done ASAP. Please help!!

  • Hi

I am guessing you are running hybrid and have ADsync or one of the tools installed? you can use the MIISClient to prevent those users from being synced to the cloud. In exchange if you are the only admin then you will not need to worry.

  • Hi,

If you use DirSync tool to sync local AD account to Exchange Online, and you want to remove some users from sync list, you can use MIISClient to find the account then try steps in below links:

  • Agreed with what Edward has suggested above.

By the way, you can checkout below article too which summarizes the steps to migrate smoothly and swiftly from on-premise Exchange Server to Office 365 - https://www.lepide.com/blog/migrate-smoothly-and-swiftly-from-on-premise-exchange-server-to-office-365/

  • Hi,

I am checking to see how things are going on after using MISSClient tools to remove objects to sync?
