Task Scheduler "repeat task every" is not granular enough! RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a need to schedule a task to occur every two hours, but unbelievably I cannot find any way to do this with the Task Scheduler in Server 2008. The options for "repeat task every" are 5, 10, 15, 30 minutes and 1 hour... that's it. Am I missing something obvious and just not seeing how to schedule a task to occur at multi-hour increments?

If not, is there any other piece of software you know of that can do what Task Scheduler can't?

    Hi Jim,

Although only 5 items (5 minutes, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30minutes and 1 hour) can be selected, you can manually type “2 hours” in the box.
