BranchCache Configuration

Question

Hi All
A question about BranchCache Distributed mode. When files are amended from a client machine does this replicate back to the hosted machine (server). Example User1 using Win7 in BranchCache Distributed mode and opens a file from remote server - makes changes to the file an saves, does this replicate back to the server? I read on another Forum that it does? Confused Im under the impression that it purely caches.
How about in Hosted Mode?
Thanks!

Yes, edits to a file are saved directly to the server both in distributed mode and hosted mode.
