How can I create a SharePoint 2007 KPI based on a text field in an Excel file? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an Excel file loaded into a SharePoint 2007 site. In one of those cells I have conditional formatting that based on certain conditions will set the cell to "Y" or "N".

Can I setup a KPI on the same SharePoint site that houses this Excel file to show when that cell is set to "Y" or "N"? Allof the KPI information I've seen seems to be based on numercial values.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Bob,

I think this could not be achieved with out of box feature. Key Performance Indicators are valuable for teams to evaluate quickly the progress made against measurable goals

In KPI list, we need to compare the current value with goal as the way of “higher” or “lower”. But if we use a text field, we could compare it in this way

    Thanks.
