HV Cluster Validation error "Server holds SCSI PR on disk"

    Question

  • Hi

One of the cluster disks has been removed by the SAN admin without removing it from the HV host / cluster and now while running the cluster validation we are getting error "server holds the SCSI PR on DISKtemp and brought the disk online, but failed it's attempt to write file data to partition table entry 1, Disk structure is corrupted and empty". How can we correct this issue?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi Sir,

I tried to remove disk without remove it from Cluster first in my lab .

But , if I run cluster validation there is no deleted disk listed in the validation wizard .

In addition , I found an article regarding this similar error :

    https://methmal132.wordpress.com/2015/10/10/hyper-v-cluster-validation-fails-for-the-disk-failover-test-on-a-windows-server-2012-r2-failover-cluster/

Hope it is helpful to you .

    Best Regards,

    Elton
