CPU Spiks on sharepoint 2007 WFE server while application server administration service timer jobs runs on index server.

Question
-
I have 3 Sharepoint 2007 servers in farm. 1 of them index contents and 2 of them serves search queries. while running "Application Server Administration Service Timer Job" CPU spikes to 100% on query server, since this job runs in every minute then production server is responding very poorly.
If I disable "Application Server Administration Service Timer Job" or stop "Office SharePoint server search" service on index server then all 3 WFE work fine without CPU spike.
Due to this my crawl is completely stopped. If any one have solution on it then please help me on it.

Have you check ULS and Event Logs ? If yes, can you post some messages ?

HI,
This needs to be investigated. Here are the steps need to be followed:
1. Check the ULS + Eventviewer logs at the time when this issue happens.
2. Collect perflog files and execute PAL on that this will give you the complete analysis of processes and performance at that time.
This can then help you to find the cause.
I hope this will help you out.
