Using Excel with Microsoft Project RRS feed

  • Hello. I have 4 Excel files that I would love to use Microsoft Project on.

    I have a file with 4 tabs. One tab is my data tab, where I pull data from the other 3 tabs.

    These 3 tabs are files that are getting updated on a daily basis. 

    If a column is added to any of those 3 tabs where I do my vlookups from, it throws off my vlookup.

    I was hoping I could do some smart link that would avoid that. I want to be able to dump the 3 trackers and pull the info I need from the 3 of them.

    The trackers consists of about 100+ milestones that we track. Example, construction start, construction finish.

    When a milestone is completed, you enter the date that it is completed and the column next to it has an A or F. If its completed, you change it from F (forecast) to A (actual).

    Any guideance would be greatly appreciated. Not sure where to start or if Micrisoft project is what I should use.
